PENDULATION
Feel the response in your body at this moment. Feel the emotion of anger or hurt or whatever it is, (name it if you can) and breathe consciously. Contain the emotion. Tolerate it. Where is it? In your chest, your belly, your solar plexus? Now how does it feel in your body? Is it hot, cold, stabbing, numbing, burning, whatever?
GROUNDING AND CENTERING
Feel the weight of your whole body pressing into the floor, the chair or the bed. Feel how well you are supported, and give your attention to the parts of your body where you can feel pain, discomfort or dis-ease.
As your breath flows into your body, become aware of that breath bringing nourishment and healing to those parts of your body. Imagine dis-ease collected up into your breath in that moment between the in and out breath, and allow the out breath to carry that dis-ease out of your body with every out breath.
SELF WORTH & BODY IMAGE AFFIRMATIONS
I love and accept myself, just the way I am now.
All people have value, and I am a valuable human being.
I deserve to relax.
I deserve to be happy.
MEET MY OWN NEEDS MEDITATION
I fulfil my own need for intimacy.
In my solitude, I know that my presence in this world matters.
I trust that my life has meaning.
I trust that clarity comes to me when I need it most.
I am compassionate towards my self.
I allow myself to grieve for the person that I was and the life that didn’t happen to me.
TRADITIONAL LOVING KINDNESS MEDITATION
May I be held in compassion
May my pain and sorrow be eased
May I be safe
May I be at peace
MORAL COURAGE ASPIRATIONS
Each scar serves as a reminder of who I am, who I can become, and who I will never be again.
My life is mine again.
I don’t need to have it all figured out to move forward.
I have high standards and I won’t settle for less than I deserve.
In a world full of fear I am courageous.
In a world full of lies I am honest.
In a world where few care, I am compassionate.
